The annual Catholic Charities Appeal supports the many charitable services and programs of the Fall River diocese, which throughout the year touch the lives of literally hundreds of thousands of individuals in need.
If we truly care for one another as the Gospel instructs we must, then we would see each troubled child as our own; each elderly person
hungering for companionship as our mother, our father; each immigrant fleeing persecution, each homeless person,
each pregnant teenager as our brother, our sister.
Surely we would reach out compassionately, longing to heal the pain of those so close to our heart.
