Members assist in administering the precious body and blood of Christ at liturgical celebrations and prayer services.  Eucharistic ministers may be invited to bring the Eucharist to parish members who are confined because of age or illness.

An interview with the pastor is necessary prior to appointment to ensure that certain diocesan guidelines are fulfilled.  Ministers are scheduled for particular liturgies.  There are no additional meetings.
