We at Sacred Heart are growing in our belief that Stewardship is an expression of our discipleship with the power to change how we understand and live out our lives. As disciples of Jesus who practice stewardship, we recognize that God is the origin of life, the giver of freedom, the source of all we have and are and will be. We are deeply aware of the truth that “The Lord’s are the earth and its fullness; the world and those who dwell in it.” (Psalms 24:1) As followers of Jesus we know ourselves to be recipients and caretakers of God’s many gifts. We are grateful for what we have received and eager to cultivate our gifts out of love for God and one another.* |

Accept all who enter our lives“So we are to use our different gifts in accordance with the grace that God has given us. If your gift is to speak God’s message, we should do it according to the faith we have; if it is to serve, we should serve; if it is to teach, we should teach; if it is to encourage others, we should do so. Whoever shares with others should do it generously; whoever has authority should work hard; whoever shows kindness should do it cheerfully.” Romans 12:6-8
